ROOT//8 BRIEFING 01

What is a percentage?

25% = 25/100 = 1/4

A percentage means “out of 100.”

BRIEFING 02

Find a percentage of a number

20% of 500 = 100

Because 20/100 × 500 = 100.

BRIEFING 03

Percentage change

500 + 15% = 575

15% of 500 is 75, so the new amount is 575.

BRIEFING 04

Discount

₹1,200 − 20% = ₹960

20% of ₹1,200 is ₹240.

BRIEFING 05

Simple interest

SI = P × R × T / 100

For ₹5,000 at 6% for 2 years: SI = ₹600.

11 // SYSTEM CHECK

Three attempts. Then reveal.

Every new set generates different Class 8 percentage problems. Three attempts per question keeps the focus on reasoning.

Choose an answer. Each question allows three attempts.
